This programme is designed for UK-based teachers teaching in schools which follow the English National Curriculum. An alternative course is available for non-UK teachers - please see the International Courses listing for more details.
The programme can be taken wholly online, or can be combined with live training, for a blended learning approach. Please contact Music Education Solutions® to find out more about blended learning options.
Our most popular live course is now available online, following a 5-star rating on the Teacher
Development Trust website, and a feature on Heart FM! This course looks
in detail at the skills, knowledge and understanding that pupils need
to develop in order to progress in Performing, Composing/Improvising and
Listening in the context of the English National Curriculum. Delivered through a mixture of video presentation, online text, interactive quizzes, and online case-studies, this course guides you through everything you need to know to teach music confidently.
This course covers the processes and pedagogy of planning and
assessing primary music. Learners will explore the specific mechanics
of planning and assessment for music, which can be very different from
the other subjects of the primary curriculum. The course offers
support and advice for creating schemes of work, individual
pedagogically sound lesson plans, and assessment systems for music.
